SpotOn Merchant Referral Terms & Conditions
Clients will be eligible for a referral reward for any new business they refer to SpotOn Transact LLC (“SpotOn”) by filling out the referral form on their dashboard, which should include the referred business name, contact name, email address, and phone number. Clients will also be eligible to receive a referral reward for any new business that uses their dedicated referral link.
Referral Bonus Payout Terms & Definitions
Clients who refer a new Restaurant POS business will be rewarded $1,000 USD if the referred restaurant business activates within 12 months of the referral. **An additional $1,000 bonus will be rewarded to clients who refer a new restaurant POS business that processes over $25,000 per month for the first full three months after activation.***
For Example: A new restaurant POS business that has been referred activates their account on January 15th. From February 1-28th they processed $28K, from March 1-31st they processed $26k and from April 1-30th, they processed $30K. A total referral bonus of $2,000 will be rewarded; $1,000 once the restaurant business initially activates on January 15th, and another $1,000 when they fulfill the $25,000 per month processing threshold after April 30th.
SpotOn will pay Clients their reward via an ACH credit to their account on file within thirty (30) days of referred business activation. Clients will see this reflected on their dashboard statement as a “referral bonus.” Restaurant POS Activation. **When a referred restaurant business reaches $10,000 in processing.
Restaurant POS Activation: ***Additional $1000 bonus is valid for referrals submitted from August 16, 2023 through the end of 2023.
Ineligibility
Referrals will be ineligible and declined when:
- Referrals not submitted through the SpotOn Dashboard or through the Client’s dedicated shareable link will be declined, and the Clients will not receive rewards.
- The signed application date cannot be before the referral entry date.
- SpotOn has sole discretion to decline referrals that are already existing SpotOn client opportunities or relationships, or were previously contacted directly or indirectly (i.e. through referral partners such as our Ally Program). Such referrals are not eligible for rewards.
- SpotOn has sole discretion to decline referrals that are businesses SpotOn does not reasonably desire to do business with (i.e. businesses not in compliance with applicable laws or do not align with SpotOn ethics policies).
- Rebooks, including COO (Change of Ownership), COB (Change of Business), and name changes, are not eligible for referrals. Example: A client refers a location that was previously a SpotOn client that is being sold to a new owner or changing the business name and setting up a new account under the same business entity.
- Client accounts must be in good standing with no past-due balances to be eligible for a referral bonus payment.
- Referring Clients who are inactive and have not processed over $100 USD during the past 6 months are ineligible for a referral bonus. However, once Clients process over $100 USD they may be rewarded their referral bonus.
- If a referred business cancels prior to the referred business’ activation, no reward will be given.
- If there is a referral promotion or special offer, the referral must be submitted before the *pre-established date (based on promotion duration) to qualify.
- Requests for higher bonus payouts will not be fulfilled in the case where a Client makes a referral, and the referred business signs up for a lesser product and then months later upgrades to a product with a higher bonus payout.
Example: *Client makes a referral, and the referred business signs up for retail POS and is paid a $50 referral bonus. Months later, the referred business signs up for Restaurant POS, and the Client who made the initial referral requests a $1,000 referral bonus.
- SpotOn Account Executives (“AE”) who own a business cannot refer a business from their dashboard account for a referral bonus. They will not be paid twice as a referrer and as an AE.
- If a SpotOn AE’s spouse is an existing SpotOn client (signed and managed by a spouse), the AE’s spouse is not eligible to make referrals.
Terms and Conditions may be updated or changed at SpotOn’s sole discretion at any time. Clients who make referrals to SpotOn after the changed terms and conditions consent to such updated or changed Terms and Conditions by continuing to make referrals to SpotOn.
